THE POWER OF POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS!
Hello loves, welcome to another week of empowering, uplifting, and motivational blog posts! This week we will be talking about the power of positive affirmations.
Have you ever heard of positive affirmations? Better yet have you ever tried to use them? Positive affirmations are another way of saying "positive self talk". What this means is saying to yourself out loud or in your head, positive things that you hope to become of yourself, or that you hope to believe within yourself. We say the word "hope" because generally the positive affirmations that are being said are usually around an area that you would want to improve in or gain self confidence in.
For example, one common thing that many people in todays society struggle with is comparing themselves to others. This is due to many factors such as social media, societal pressures, self esteem concerns, and so much more. A positive affirmation for someone struggling with this in hopes to change, can say to them self "I will not compare myself to others" or "I am a unique being with my own path to follow, or even something like "I am experiencing my own journey and my time to get to where I want to be will come". These are just a few positive affirmations for that one scenario.
Now you can only imagine how many different struggles that each and everyone of us in the world encounters or deals with on a daily basis. This is why positive affirmations are so unique to each and every person. The best thing is that you can choose and make up your own affirmations, to suite your needs and encompass changes you want to start believing within yourself.
You can find a comfortable space to do them, and they can truly be done anywhere! Our favourite time to do them is in the morning, right after waking up. This way it can really set a positive tone for the day. You can write them down or even use your phone note pad to type then up in. You can start with as many as you like, generally we use about five per day, and continue to say them for one week.
We would like you to take some time to thing about things you want to start believing within yourself. Do you want to gain confidence? Make new Friends? Try and calm your anxiety? Well thankfully you can utilize websites like pinterest, google, and Youtube to help you find affirmation examples if you don't know where to begin.
Below you will find a few affirmations that are some of our favourites. These are very broad and you can even start with any of them that you believe in. We like to take a few deep breaths while we're saying them, and allow our minds to actually absorb the message we're telling ourselves. There has been scientifical evidence that shows theirs is a positive correlation to positive self talk and the brain. Give it a try! If you've never done it before it just may change your life!
