HOW TO FALL ASLEEP FASTER AND DISCONNECT BEFORE BED
Hello loves, we are back today with another blog topic!
This week we will be discussing how to fall asleep faster, and wake up feeling more refreshed, driven, and ready to smash you day!

This week will be an easy read, with only three main tips that we love, and follow to help us feel more relaxed and rested before bed.
TIP #1:
Disconnect the phone! Yes you read that right. It seems like the more advanced we get with technology, the harder it is to put away! What has worked for us is putting the phone on do not disturb about an hour before going to bed, and staying off the phone as well. Staring at your screen especially if your scrolling through social media before bed, can actually keep you awake longer then you may have intended. We have all been there, when we have things we need to get done, but we find ourselves on Instagram, Facebook or Tik Tok! Give yourself an hour before bed to relax, maybe try a guided meditation, or listen to some calming music before drifting off to sleep.
TIP #2:
Read before bed! This has seriously been a game changer for our Founder Shantel. In her opinion, reading before bed has allowed for her to get a better quality of overall sleep, and fall asleep faster. Picture this; laying in bed, lights dimmed, and snuggling up to your favourite book! Reading is an amazing way to learn new skills, gain advice, or just have "you" time to relax. This is a great way to really disconnect from the outside world, and focus in on the present moment. Many people say they don't have time for reading, but do you really not have time? Or are you using your time in different and maybe not so productive ways?
TIP #3:
Use aromatherapy! Have you ever heard of aromatherapy? It's basically using essential oils in a water based diffuser, and it distributes the oils in a form of water vapour to your room! Aromatherapy has been proven to help aid in sleep with essentials oils such as lavender or chamomile. However, there are actually various health benefits to using aromatherapy with so many different essential oils on the market! We highly recommend you do your research to see if there are any essential oils that spark your interest and give them a try! This can be used at any time of the day! Our favourite essential oil mix is eucalyptus and tea tree oil!
